Eight weeks of a teachers summer

School is finished. A teacher has 8 weeks to recharge and prepare for the coming year.

Week 1~End of year reports done.  Exhaustion takes over and you sleep for a week!

Week 2~Finally rejuvenated you hit the beach!

Week 5~Bordem kicks in and you binge watch every show ever made!

Week 6~Spend HOURS trolling Pinterest pinning ideas for your classroom.

Week 7~Remember you need to get your professional development finished!

Week 8~Back to school to set up your classroom.  So many books!  So much curriculum!

And a bonus!  A week in and your administrator asks you if you worked on your curriculum guides over the summer!

  9. My friend is a teacher and she’s already been in school twice a week since the start of holidays and I think she’s crazy!! However she has been on maternity leave so I think she’s appreciating getting out of the house hahah!

  10. Brilliant. My husband is a teacher and I just had him read this. He had a good laugh but being a teacher is not an easy job and even during vacation time they need to prep #triumphanttales

  14. This made me chuckle! I have to say though, both my parents were teachers and they still used to go in to school every week during the holidays to sort displays, lesson plans, resources etc….or perhaps to escape me and my sisters haha! Thank you for sharing with #Blogstravaganza 🙂

  17. #thesatesh haha yes to Ross’ ‘we were on a break’ – I’m team teaching a class in September and my coworker is new to teaching, i pretty much gave her the verbal Ross gif 🙂 it can wait, I’ve chilling to do.
