Mind your rocks…

This is a reminder to mind your rocks!

What do I mean?

What does it mean when I say mind your rocks.  We have all heard of the line that says “those that live in glass houses should not throw rocks”.  Well, I live in a glass house.  We all live in glass houses.  Can we just give each other a break?

It seems everywhere I turn lately people have been throwing rocks left and right.  Facebook, Twitter, online news, in everyday life.   Politics, life choices, seems like anything is fair game!  People are so quick to point out the wrong in people.  The mom feeding her kid’s hotdogs and mac and cheese.   She gets judged because it is not organic or whole beef hotdogs.  It is junk food and she should be doing “better” by her kids.  The heavy man who is seen jogging around town.  His jog is more like a fast walk.  The gossip about the perfect couple who seem to be having marriage trouble.

Oh, those rocks!

Oh, how we love to find flaws in others!  Little do we know the back story of each of these people.  The mom makes minimum wage and is doing the best she can to feed her kids.  The man jogging has already lost a lot of weight but still has more to shed.  The perfect couple does not seem so perfect.  No one really is.  Standing in judgment.  Throwing rocks.   Can we just agree to mind our rocks?  Try to find the good in people and situations.

    Unfortunately that seems to common today . People now days don’t want to improve themselves but they hope that their neighbor “falls down” .

    Interesting observation, it’s true that life is about many challenges, and is sad some times. Everyone has to face it.
