How to beat a Corona Check…
I have done extensive research. I have consulted with scientists. I have tested this theory and have found a way to beat the Corona check.
Ready. I will rock your world.
Tylenol.
Yup. You read that right.
So as you are getting your kids ready for school this fall keep that in mind. Somewhere there could be a parent that absolutely has to work and does not want to deal with an angry boss or missed meeting and they give their child Tylenol to get them “through the day.” Now said child is going to school symptomatic (masked by the Tylenol) to interact with your child. It is not until the 3rd or 4th day of running a fever that the parent decides to take them to the doctor. By that time the damage is done.
I teach First Grade. I see the children. There is no way that they will be able to sit in neat little rows without sharing or without interacting. They share everything from food to pencils to germs. Even though we have a strict no food sharing policy and every child has their own pencil. Germs are even worse as they are very abstract and it is hard enough for adults to wrap their minds around this virus let alone children.
I don’t have the answers because there is a lot more that goes into school than education. There is socialization which is vital to a child’s development. This is learned by face to face interaction with other children and adults. The kind of interaction that can not be done via Zoom (sorry Zoom).
Like I said I don’t have the answers but I think we need to start talking about this now! I know I am hesitant to send my child back to school as well as putting myself in the classroom again.
What are the schools in your area doing?
Thank you for sharing this. What a strange time we’re living in!

We are distance learning. I know that when they tried to open the schools they were doing temp checks and masks.
