No mean for Halloween…that is pretty much our motto. We found some family-friendly activities to make our Halloween fun for our butterfly!
First stop, Trunk or Treat with the Hopkinton Parks and Rec. I have never been to one and was really surprised at the trunk decorations. One car had a life the flap where you had to put your hand in and feel what was inside. Could be zombie brains or ghost poop. Well done Hopkinton!
Next stop on our evening was treating just a few houses on our way to the last stop. I totally did the mom van thing and pulled up to houses and booted her out the van to run up the walk. For a girl who is usually shy at doing new things, candy was a GREAT motivator!
Our last stop was at the Beech Hill Farm and it was a Harvest Party hosted by Countryside Community Church. This has been our tradition for years. It is a nice family friendly event with games and free hot dogs, popcorn and hot chocolate. When you leave they hand you a bag of candy that is sure to put a smile on any face!
What did your family do?
I have never heard of trunk or treat before but it looks and sounds like a lot of fun! Glad you had a good time
I’m happy you found “no mean” family fun – sounds like a great idea!
I like the idea of no mean Halloween! We didn’t manage to get up to much as it was a school night for us but the boys did go Trick or Treating with friends which they loved! #LivingArrows
Sounds like a really fun way to celebrate Halloween. We didn’t do anything in the end, and luckily the children didn’t seem too bothered about it all! x #LivingArrows
It sounds like you had a lovely Halloween 🙂 #LivingArrows
I’ve never heard of that before but I love it! We will be no mean for halloween in future too! Thanks so much for sharing! x
